The once crime ridden, dangerous, North Brooklyn area is now full of artistic creative types and the neighborhood has become very desirable.
Join your tour guide Tony, who grew up in the area in the 1960's & 70's and hear first hand stories of how the area has changed and to visit the most popular graffiti locations of Bushwick & beyond, both its now trendy artistic residential /commercial areas as well as the still active warehouse & light manufacturing zones where it's not uncommon to stumble upon local artist still doing their thing on the walls of these buildings. We will also admire the amazing bigger than life hand-painted commercial advertising murals that are unique along the Williamsburg waterfront in addition to the spectacular skyline views from an amazing riverfront park. We always allow plenty of time for photos and historic narrations along the way. A possible ferry ride to DUMBO will be included if we make a timely connection, otherwise,we pedal there along the popular waterfront greenway and pass under the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges before we pedal into the award winning Brooklyn Bridge Park with its majestic skyline views. The tour will end in the area of the Old Fulton Street Historic district under the Brooklyn Bridge. This area is full of great places to visit and is a popular tourist destination.. Several subway lines are within a short walk.
As with all our tours, we want our guests to absorb the local flavor of the neighborhoods we visit. We will offer several food stops along the way, like a classic Italian pastry shop / cafe' for tasty treats or visit a local Brooklyn bagel shop, or, a taste of the famous Brooklyn pizza. Unlimited bottled water will always be included as well as photos of the tour & a BBT surprise gift. One low price covers all, including the ferry !!!.
